For animal lover Jenny Leech, nothing brings more fulfillment than caring for senior and special-needs dogs. Over the years, she has dedicated her life to making sure these forgotten pups know comfort, compassion, and love.
She has encountered many heartbreaking stories, but one in particular left a lasting mark on her heart: a frail, elderly stray wandering along a busy Illinois road in the freezing winter.
After being rescued, the dog was taken to a shelter in Bellwood, Illinois. Though he was safe and warm at last, sadness took hold. Each day, he sat quietly in his kennel, watching as visitors came and went, never stopping for him.
Everything changed when a rescue organization noticed him and decided to intervene.
