Stock markets traded higher after rally in global peers over hopes of US Fed rate cuts.
The stock market is seeing a rally on the first day of the week. The Sensex has gained over 450 points in early trading, while the Nifty has crossed the 25,900 mark.
Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty opened higher on Monday, tracking a strong rally in global markets after softer-than-expected US inflation data boosted hopes of interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.
Investor sentiment was further lifted by renewed optimism over a potential US–China trade deal and fresh foreign fund inflows.
In early trade, the 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 272.7 points to 84,484.58, while the 50-share NSE Nifty advanced 88.55 points to 25,883.70.
