The courthouses on the Lower East Side are well-known for being part of the backdrop to shows like “Law and Order.”
But now some of the actors who played victims on the show may also be victims themselves in a real life larceny scheme.
“This is yet another egregious example of bad bosses abusing their power to take advantage of hardworking New Yorkers,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said.
On Tuesday, Bragg announced the indictment of Mark Measures, the owner of talent agency KMR.
Measures, who was arraigned in court earlier in the day, is accused of stealing nearly $2 million from clients and thousands of dollars more from his own staff.
The DA’s office presented multiple emails from clients asking for their money.
