U.S. President Donald Trump ruled out running for vice president in 2028 as part of a plan to secure a third term.
There is a constitutional two-term limit on U.S. presidents.
"I'd be allowed to do that," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One early on Monday morning as he traveled to Japan.
But Trump added: "I would rule that out because it's too cute. I think the people wouldn't like that. It's too cute. It wouldn't be right."
