LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Halloween Week is off and running on a damp note, with showers rolling across the state to start things off. This soggy setup is just the opening act for a much larger and more impactful system that’s set to bring some wicked weather from late Tuesday through Thursday.

Today features rounds of showers moving from west to east, with the heaviest and most widespread rain likely across the southern half of Kentucky. Locally heavy rainfall is a good bet in these areas, and highs will hover mainly in the 50s. By Tuesday, a few showers linger in the east early in the day, but much of the state catches a break through the afternoon.
