In the evening, devotees, along with their family members would head to banks of water bodies to perform the significant puja rituals. Standing knee-deep in water, those keeping the fast will pray for the well-being of their children, spouses and other family members. Prasad of Thekua , Rasiya, fruits, coconut, banana, daab nimbu, and others are filled in the soops (wooden baskets), and carried along.
