Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi named Nitish Kumar as the NDA’s chief ministerial face in Bihar, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan publicly backed the decision, declaring his full support for Kumar’s leadership. “My MLAs will vote for making Nitish Kumar the Chief Minister,” Paswan said, asserting that the NDA is “much stronger and more united this time.”
He noted that in 2020, despite contesting separately, the NDA managed to form a government. “Back then, we were at our weakest point as Upendra Kushwaha was not with us. This time, we are united while the Mahagathbandhan appears divided,” he said.
