The Minnesota Timberwolves began the new season with two wins and a loss, but after their victory over the Indiana Pacers (114-110), the Minneapolis team received bad news.

According to renowned NBA insider Shams Charania , the team’s best player, Anthony Edwards, will miss the next two weeks due to a strained right hamstring, which he sustained in the game against the Pacers .

The good news for Minnesota is that a more serious injury was avoided, but the All-Star will miss games against the Denver Nuggets , Los Angeles Lakers , Charlotte Hornets , Brooklyn Nets , New York Knicks , Utah Jazz , and Sacramento Kings .

After three games into the season, Edwards is averaging 25.7 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
