(NewsNation) — “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan has struck a new deal, leaving Paramount for NBCUniversal, Deadline reported.
Sheridan signed a huge five-year deal with NBCUniversal, encompassing film, TV and streaming.
The “Mayor of Kingstown” creator’s deal with NBCU begins on Jan. 1, 2029, after his deal with Paramount ends in 2028.
The departure could be seen as a major loss for Paramount, which has been the home for major series helmed by Sheridan, including ‘Yellowstone’ spinoffs “1883,” starring Sam Elliot, and “1923,” starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
Other Sheridan shows include “Tulsa King,” “Special Ops: Lioness” and “Landman.”
