Hamas' armed wing has announced its plan to hand over the body of a deceased hostage recovered on Monday. This gesture is set for 9 p.m. in Gaza, amid ongoing challenges tied to the U.S. President Donald Trump's controversial Gaza plan.
There are still 13 hostages' remains unaccounted for, with Hamas indicating obstacles in locating them among rubble from recent conflicts. An Israeli government spokesperson claimed that the Palestinian militant group is aware of the remains' locations.
In a bid to address these issues, Israel has permitted an Egyptian technical team to collaborate with the Red Cross. The team will utilize excavators and trucks in their search efforts beyond the yellow line in Gaza, an area Israel has retreated from under Trump's plan.
