Giants share latest Cam Skattebo update after gruesome Week 8 injury

The New York Giants were dealt yet another devastating injury blow on Sunday after rookie running back Cam Skattebo sustained a gruesome ankle injury against the Philadelphia Eagles .

The injury occurred in the second quarter and it was immediately clear that the rookie had sustained something significant . He was eventually carted off the field and later had emergency surgery in Philadelphia to fix his dislocated ankle.

On Monday afternoon, the Giants provided an update on Skattebo and revealed that he has now been discharged from the hospital and will "begin rehab immediately."
