LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Now is the time to find your jacket that is probably buried in the closet, because you will like need it later this week!
Tuesday will still be warm with lows ranging from the mid 50s to the upper 60s from north to south. Afternoon highs will top out in the low to mid 80s in most areas as well. By late afternoon we may begin to see some showers or thunderstorms approaching from the west.
The risk of severe weather is low, but it is not zero; and the primary risk is thunderstorms could produce hail. The timing of these showers and storms will be from 4 pm through around midnight. A strong cold front will move through in the overnight hours and that will push the rain out.
Wind will be a major issue behind the front with winds possibly gusting upwards of 40 mph
