Brooklyn Nets rookies Drake Powell and Danny Wolf were assigned to the Long Island Nets of the G League on Monday, the team announced.

The two players will practice with Long Island as the team begins training camp this week ahead of the 2025-26 season. The group will tip off the season on Nov. 7 with a two-game home set against the Capital City Go-Go at Nassau Veterans Memorial.

Powell debuted with the Nets in their season opener in a loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, recording two points and two rebounds in seven minutes. Wolf has yet to play through the first three games because of an ankle injury.

Powell averaged four points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists on 40% shooting from the field in three preseason games with the Nets. The 22nd pick recorded six points twice before going scoreless in three minutes during his finale on Oct. 17.

Wolf, the 27th pick, logged three preseason appearances, posting averages of 8.3 points, four assists and 3.7 rebounds on 61.5% shooting from the field. He registered his most productive outing on Oct. 10 with 11 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Powell and Wolf are among a crowded draft class for the Nets, joining Egor Dёmin (eighth pick), Nolan Traoré (19th pick) and Ben Saraf (26th pick). The Nets became the first team in history to select five players in the first round of the draft.
