A war of words has erupted after Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge took a jab at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for calling the Congress leader a "first-class idiot" for questioning the state's talent pool. In response, the BJP unit in Assam mocked Kharge with a cheeky jibe, “Hello, Teddy Boy”, and said that writing long essays on social media doesn’t make him an expert.
The feud erupted on Monday after the Karnataka Minister allegedly told a news channel that semiconductor investments meant for his state were being diverted towards Gujarat and Assam, after being "arm-twisted" by the Centre.
