Giving clear hints that a leadership change could be on the cards in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday, October 27, said that he will remain Chief Minister for the full five-year term if the decision is made by the Congress high command.
Speaking to reporters in Mangaluru, when asked whether he would continue as Chief Minister for the entire term, Siddaramaiah replied, "if the high command decides so.”
It may be recalled that CM Siddaramaiah had earlier asserted that he would complete the full term and lead the Congress party in the next Assembly elections, while also reiterating that any decision on the CM's post will be made by the party high command.
