Chhath Puja, a festival symbolising deep faith, devotion, and gratitude to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya, was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour across Uttarakhand.
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, along with his family, offered Arghya first to the setting sun and later to the rising sun at the Tons River ghat in Premnagar.
On this occasion, he prayed to Lord Sun and Chhathi Maiya for the prosperity and well-being of the state.
Earlier this morning, devotees across the country offered ‘Usha Arghya’ to the rising Sun, marking the culmination of Chhath Puja. Thousands gathered along riverbanks, ponds, and ghats to perform rituals and seek blessings for prosperity and well-being.
