The Medicine Hat Cubs swept a weekend slate for the first time this season.
The local Jr. B club won 4-1 on the road Friday, taking down the High River Flyers before beating the Strathmore Wheatland Kings 5-1 on Saturday at the Kinplex.
In the win Friday, Mason Osinski had a pair of goals, Nolen Sutherland had a goal and an assist and Jesse Klimosko scored a solo tally. Kayne Wright made 16 saves in the victory.
Captain Kyle Woolridge led the offence with a pair of goals in Saturday’s win. Three skaters, Sutherland, Jacob Hazzard and Austin Derzaph each tallying a goal and an assist. Randen collier had three assists, Wright stopped 14 shots.
