LOS ANGELES — Baseball fans in Atlanta are well aware that Freddie Freeman is an October legend, and if they stayed up until nearly 3 a.m. ET on Tuesday, they got to see what may go down as the singular highlight of his storied postseason career.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays took Game 3 of the World Series to nearly midnight local time on the West Coast, an 18-inning instant classic that was ended by a Freeman walk-off blast .
The beloved former Brave took a 3-2 sinker from Blue Jays lefty Brendon Little and drove it to dead center to give Los Angeles a 6-5 win and a 2-1 series lead.
