The campaign to delegitimize the world’s only Jewish state in the eyes of Canadian policymakers and the general public has now set its sights on the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), one of this country’s leading advocacy groups for Israel and Canada’s Jewish community.

Over the past two years, the anti-Israel lobby has succeeded in pressuring the federal government to institute an arms embargo against Israel, vote against it at the United Nations and recognize a Palestinian state. It has shut down university campuses and city streets, pressured media outlets to portray Israel in a negative light and helped re-normalize antisemitism within Canadian society.
