Police bust drug rings; 7.086 kg heroin, 4 arrests, Glock pistol seized

Ferozepur, October 28, 2025: In a major crackdown on cross-border and interstate drug trafficking, Punjab Police conducted two coordinated operations on Monday and Tuesday, recovering a total of 7.086 kg of heroin and apprehending four key accused, including the seizure of a Glock pistol, officials said.

In the first operation, the Counter Intelligence Wing, Amritsar, under AIG Navjot Singh Mahal, intercepted a drone-dropped consignment from Pakistan, seizing 5 kg of heroin from Dilbag Singh, son of Piyara Singh, and Ajit Singh, son of Ajit Singh, both residents of Village Rajewal, PS Lopoke, District Amritsar.
