Nintendo has dropped some new freebies for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 users just in time for Halloween.

Regardless of what platform you’re playing on at the moment there are plenty of spooky treats to be had.

Storefronts like PlayStation and Steam are offering huge discounts on horror titles at the moment but you’d be forgiven for thinking Nintendo doesn’t really bother with that sort of thing. You’d also be right but that doesn’t mean the company doesn’t join in every now and then.

This week Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 users can claim some free Halloween-themed icons featuring some of the Super Mario series’ most iconic characters.

A total of eight icons are up for grabs right now, featuring; Mario with a pumpkin on his head, Luigi as a werewolf, Peach as a witch,
