A starving dog found running down the beach alone has been rescued by a paramedic — and now she’s been given a second chance at life.
The 5-year-old Terrier mix , named Remy, was discovered by members of the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) on Rockaway Beach, Queens. The department shared her story online, where it quickly captured the hearts of thousands of Facebook users.
"When Remy arrived at our campus she had very poor body condition, was considerably underweight and malnourished, and was urine-stained," a spokesperson for North Shore Animal League America told Newsweek.
