OUTER BANKS, N.C. (WAVY) -- With strong winds and rain expected to impact much of the region, the North Carolina Ferry System announced the temporary suspension of several of its routes Tuesday morning.
According to a Facebook post, five of the routes have been suspended until further notice due to extreme wind and tide conditions.
A list of the impacted routes can be found below: • Cedar Island - Ocracoke: Operations Suspended • Cherry Branch - Minnesott Beach: Operations Suspended • Currituck - Knotts Island: Operations Suspended • Hatteras - Ocracoke: Operations Suspended • Swan Quarter - Ocracoke: Operations Suspended
