Students at Pine River-Backus are busy preparing for their fall musical, "Seussical, Jr." The cast includes students in grades 5-12.

Usually, this activity is limited to sixth-12th grade students, but there was a need for a few more Whos to fill out Whoville, and fifth grade students were a perfect addition for those roles.

The multi-grade participation is something that makes the fall musical a truly unique experience.

The cast includes three seniors: Rilian Goble as Horton the Elephant, Alena LeFebvre as Gertrude McFuzz, and LeeAnn Wynn as the Cat in the Hat.

All three are wonderful mentors to the younger students. They do a great job of helping introduce the younger students to the world of theater.
