President Donald Trump has praised the United States’ relationship with Japan as the “foundation of peace and security in the Pacific.” In a visit to the Yokosuka Naval Base, Trump also praised Japan’s new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, saying she will be “one of the greatest prime ministers.”
