While many are aware of the consequences of travelling without a ticket, unauthorised tickets refer to travelling in a different class than the one specified on your ticket, which can also result in penalties. However, there are specific exemptions for certain individuals who can travel in AC First Class without a ticket.
Over 20 million people travel by trains daily in India, with about 5 percent of them travelling in AC classes, including Third AC, Second AC, and First AC. One notable exception involves women travelling alone in First AC. If these women do not receive an attendant seat, they might need to travel in another class. Indian Railways has a special rule
