Two lottery players in Western Massachusetts each won $100,000 on Monday — including one person who bought a winning ticket at a Big Y grocery store.
The $100,000 prizes were both from the evening “Mass Cash” drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing were 7, 9, 15, 21 and 27.
One of those winning tickets was sold at the Big Y grocery store in South Hadley. The other was sold at a Pride Station & Store in Northampton.
“Mass Cash” drawings are held twice a day, at 2 p.m. and at 9 p.m. Tickets cost $1 each to play and players choose five numbers between 1-35.
Overall, at least 664 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, including 11 in Springfield, 24 in Worcester and 63 in Boston.
