An East Lothian man is preparing to take the next step in his career after finding himself in a "dark place" in his early 20s.

Mark Macdonald, 31, started his journey as a barber when he was 22. With almost 10 years in the industry, he is now the founder and director of That Guy Barber Studio and That Guy Barber Academy in Prestonpans.

With final touches being made before his training course launches, Mark admitted when he was 21, he wasn't sure what path his life would take and soon found himself struggling massively with his mental health.

He is now able to reflect and look back on his journey and see how far he has come. Training to become a barber helped him with his headspace.
