Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing the makers of Tylenol, alleging that the companies deceptively marketed to pregnant mothers.
Paxton announced the lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson and Kenvue on Tuesday, Oct. 28, and said in a news release that Johnson & Johnson violated Texas’s consumer protection laws by marketing the drug as a completely safe pain medication for pregnant women.
"For decades, Johnson & Johnson willfully ignored and attempted to silence the science that prenatal and early-childhood exposure to their acetaminophen products can cause Autism and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (“ADHD”) in children," the news release said.
