A pregnant woman and her unborn child were killed in a weekend wreck on Interstate 459 in Vestavia Hills.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday identified the victim as Cambraya Sharondae Broach. She was 23 and lived in Northport.

The wreck happened at 3:26 a.m. Saturday on I-459 at Acton Road.

Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates said Broach was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a multi-car wreck. No additional details were released.

Broach was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham where she and her unborn baby were pronounced dead at 4 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing by Alabama State Troopers.
