OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) — A 72-year-old Ocala man was killed Monday night when his car was struck by a train after becoming stuck on railroad tracks.
The collision happened around 7:30 p.m. on State Road 326 near Zuber, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.
Troopers said they don’t know why the man’s car was stuck on the tracks when the oncoming train struck and killed him.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating the crash.
