Former Uttar Pradesh BJP MLA Raghavendra Pratap Singh has triggered a row after he allegedly publicly offered to cover marriage expenses and provide jobs to Hindu youths who “bring ten Muslim girls and make them Hindu" to avenge two Hindu girls reportedly marrying Muslim men.

Singh made the controversial remarks while addressing a public meeting at Dhankharpur village in Dumariyaganj in Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharth Nagar district on October 16. However, it came to light on Tuesday after a video purportedly containing the remarks went viral on social media platforms, news agency PTI reported.
