Edmonton police say a 43-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car in the city’s southeast on Friday evening, and speed is believed to be a factor.
The Edmonton Police Service says the motorcyclist was going north on 50 Street towards the intersection at Millwoods Road South when they collided with a car that was turning left on Millwoods Road South from 50 Street.
The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene. The 31-year-old driver of the car was not injured.
The EPS major collisions investigation section (MCIS) is investigating.
It’s Edmonton’s 28th fatal collision this year, according to police.
