Reba McEntire became emotional while remembering her late stepson, Brandon Blackstock, in the latest episode of “The Voice.”
The talent manager died at age 48 in August after a battle with melanoma. McEntire, 70, was married to Brandon’s dad, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015.
On Monday’s episode , the actress, who serves as a coach, mentioned her stepson after her artist Aubrey Nicole sang Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”
The tune is written about a couple facing a cancer diagnosis. Nicole sang the rendition in honor of her father who is in remission.
Coach Snoop Dogg, 54, said that while he was moved by her performance, he wasn’t familiar with the track.
