House Speaker Mike Johnson said he doesn't see a way for the U.S. Constitution to be amended to allow President Donald Trump to run for a third term .
"There is the 22nd Amendment," Johnson told reporters at a news conference on Tuesday (October 28) via USA TODAY . "I think the president knows. And he and I have talked about the constrictions of the Constitution."
Johnson acknowledged that Trump "has a good time" trolling Democrats about "the very prospect" of a potential third term with the widely circulated "Trump 2028" hats and memes, but claimed there was no actual possibility of another campaign happening.
