SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane nonprofit Breast Intentions will host its annual Bra-lloween fundraiser in Spokane on October 30 to raise funds to support women in need.

Christina Weaver, who started Breast Intention , said the impact that a simple undergarment can have on a woman’s dignity. Breast Intentions began as her initiative dedicated to donating bras to women in need.

Weaver and her team of volunteers visit shelters and groups for underprivileged women. They bring racks of undergarments, fit and measure the women, and provide each with two new bras.

Carrie Jongeward, who received a fitting through the program, shared her experience.

“I got pretty bad in my addiction and things and didn’t care for myself let alone I had pushed away anybody that would have cared for me too,” Jongewar
