SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Households across the state are making the transitions from summer to fall, and soon fall to winter, turning off the air conditioners and turning on the heat. But it’s also the time of year to start prepping your home to keep any pests and rodents out for the winter.

Western Mass News spoke with Daniel Pagan, the General Manager at Rocky’s Ace Hardware in Springfield. He said that right now they’re seeing an increase of people interested in mice traps for their homes: “A lot of people are trying to use deterrence for that, whether it be like the little mint pouches that we have, or whether it be closing the ceiling holes up and stuff like that around the house, kind of pre-preparing the house or the domicile for not having rats at all.”
