Practically a year to the day Stage Left Productions arrived in Glendale, the theater is exiting the city for Peoria because of a zoning-related fee.
On Sunday, the run of “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead” wrapped at 5930 W. Greenway Road, Suite 1A, Glendale. On Monday, Artistic Director Cody Dull and his partner, Stage Left President Rodney Rickard, were taking what set decorations, chairs and furniture they could into storage.
Stage Left signed its original lease in August 2024, cementing it move from its longtime home in Surprise. The theater’s lease in Surprise did not expire until Oct. 31, 2024 so Dull negotiated to begin the Glendale in November 2024.
