BANGOR, Maine (WABI) -The Maine Prosecutors Association seeks out individuals who make a difference in the life of a victim, co-worker, or community member.

This year, they’re honoring Penobscot County’s Deputy District Attorney, Chelsea Lynds.

Shocked yet very happy is how Lynds said she felt when she was notified she received the ‘Making A Difference’ award.

The award highlighted her work through a domestic violence prosecution earlier this year as she worked with a victim through devastating times to see justice served.

Lynds tells WABI she hopes this will motivate students she teaches and anyone who has a dream to get into law.

No day is the same, no case is the same, but her approach to finding the truth and upholding accountability will always be worth it.
