Two of India’s greatest batsmen of this era are not ready to place their bats into cold storage just yet.

The writing was on the wall that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli had played their last One Day International matches after India went down in the first two of three contests versus Australia.

The Aussies were at their best as usual before India bounced back to avoid a sweep thanks to the veteran stars.

Sharma stroked his way to his 50th international century and Kohli brought up his 75th half century with an unbeaten 74.

The two thrilled the fans with an unbroken stand of 168, their 19th century stand, as India reached its target of 236 by posting 237 for the loss of captain Shubman Gill’s wicket for 24.
