The Overland Park Police Department is asking for help to identify a woman who was struck and killed by a driver overnight.

Police said a vehicle was traveling east on Goddard Street around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday when it first struck a parked car on the westbound side of the road. Advertisement

The driver continued and hit a pedestrian who was walking westbound on the edge of the road just west of Switzer Road.

The vehicle eventually struck a tree and stopped.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. She is described as a short, white female with gray hair. She is believed to be in her 70s and was wearing black sweatpants and a light gray hoodie at the time of the crash.
