A woman was arrested in Quebec after the death of an abandoned newborn who was found in a bus shelter.
The baby was found on the morning of Monday, Oct. 28 in Longueuil, the city's police service said in a Facebook post .
The infant died after being taken to the hospital, police said.
The discovery of the infant was reported to police at 6:30 a.m., and lifesaving measures were performed, according to police. Authorities said the baby was pronounced dead at 8:20
