Sainsbury's has unveiled significant changes for Nectar card users, effective from Monday, October 27, as part of its "efforts to boost security". ‌

Starting from Monday, customers will need to utilise the QR code in the Nectar app to earn and redeem points at Sainsbury's outlets. The supermarket is encouraging shoppers to update their app to the most recent version to access the new QR code, which is located on the home screen. ‌

Customers who use their phone's digital wallet can also add the QR code directly from the app. However, Sainsbury's has confirmed that shoppers will no longer be able to redeem points using the old barcode in the app. ‌

To spend points, you must use the new QR code in the Nectar app.
