The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has suspended its fourth employee in connection with the fake certificate verification scandal.

According to orders issued by Dr Amarpal Singh, chairman, PSEB , the action follows a fact-finding inquiry conducted by the Joint Secretary (J). The probe was initiated after the Punjab Pharmacy Council, Medical Education Bhawan, Sector 69, Mohali, raised concerns over the verification of forged certificates.

The inquiry revealed that the certificates were case no. 3359 dated July 13, 2023, received by Ranjit Singh (Helper), and case no. 3897 dated August 4, 2023, received by Rajinder Singh (Helper) were manually processed through the single window system.
