Every year, October 29 serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need to recognise, prevent, and effectively manage one of the most life-altering health conditions: Stroke. The disease has 30% fatality rate, ~70% long-term disability rate, and incidence rate doubling every 10 years after age 55. These are significant given that 80% stroke instances are preventable through lifestyle modifications and managing risk factors.
