Yankees named amongst landing spots for star free agent Alex Bregman

The New York Yankees will be in the mix for star infielders this offseason after another disappointing playoff exit in 2025, with a rival All-Star being named as a potential candidate.

The Athletic’s Jim Bowden has named the Yankees as a potential fit for third baseman Alex Bregman’s services. Bregman spent 2025 with the Boston Red Sox after signing a three-year deal with them before the season, hitting .273 with 18 home runs and 62 RBIs in 114 games. He was named an All-Star for the first time since 2019 for his efforts.
