Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes has already been ruled out for Tuesday’s game at Rogers Arena against his former teammate, J.T. Miller , and the New York Rangers. But whether he is able to join the Canucks on their coming road trip later this week is up in the air.
Head coach Adam Foote told reporters Tuesday that Hughes’s injury, which he only said is a lower-body issue, would be evaluated further Wednesday morning, before the Canucks head out on a road trip that will take them to St. Louis, Minnesota and Nashville.
Foote said that even if Hughes is ruled out Wednesday, Hughes’s recovery may yet be quick enough for the superstar defenceman to arrive later on in the road trip.
Hughes missed time last season with first a hand injury, then later an oblique injury at the end
