A motorcyclist is dead after a collision in southeast Edmonton last week.
On Friday at roughly 8:10 p.m. a Triumph Daytona motorcycle was travelling northbound on 50 Street and approaching the intersection at Millwoods Road South, when a Honda Fit turning left at the intersection struck the motorcycle, police said in a Tuesday release.
Police said the 43-year-old motorcyclist died on scene. Police did not provide any further information on the victim. The 31-year-old driver of the Honda was uninjured.
This marks the 28th fatal collision this year.
The EPS Major Collisions Investigation Section has taken over the investigation. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.
