The estimated $4-million project has grown “beyond the scope of our organization’s financial and volunteer resources,” Hall of Fame chairperson Tom Baker said in a statement. Article content Article content
The Hall of Fame had been heading the project with the Chatham Minor Baseball Association (CMBA) and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
The facility is proposed for the Kiwanis stadium site on Tweedsmuir Avenue West between Chatham Memorial arena and Rotary Park’s Fergie Jenkins field.
