SOUTHERN UTAH (ABC4) — A new measles case has been identified in Utah, bringing the statewide total to 59 cases.

According to the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), there has been a new case in Southwest Utah, bringing the total number of cases in that region to 49. The Utah County Health District has the second-highest number of cases at 7, followed by the Bear River Health District at 4, and the Southeast Utah Health District at 3.

DHHS data indicates that this newest case is in an unvaccinated individual.
